Aims and Priorities
— Establish itself as a collective voice for studio providers
— Position itself as a principal source of information, advice and support on all aspects of artists’ studio provision
— Advocate and lobby for better working conditions on behalf of the visual arts studio workspace sector
— ASNI aims to be an all island studio network supporting artists workspace in rural, urban and international locations
Building on the number of member studios is a priority for ASNI. As the range and diversity of ASNI member studios grow, the greater its mandate to speak and act on behalf of artists studios and to represent the concerns of studio providers. ASNI members have volunteered themselves as Regional Representatives and established local working groups in order to further its objectives.
Current priorities include the development of the ASNI website which will become an interactive point of contact and open forum for discussion, a source of information for those interested in establishing studio spaces, with additional resources for Studio Members and those with a broad range of interests regarding artists’ studio workspace facilities.
